The Student Web Developer will work with the University of Nebraska Web Developer Network to assist our project managers with the maintenance and technical development of the REACH Lab’s multiple websites and social media platforms. The project will interface with several ongoing large-scale public health research projects in disease and behavioral epidemiology. The candidate should have a basic working understanding of probability, and experience writing procedural and object-oriented programs in Java, Python, C/C++ or other language. Candidates with experience or coursework in algorithms, networks, machine learning, and/or statistics will be favored.

Over the last several decades there has been a significant shift from the use of empirical approaches towards the use of mechanistic models and materials science to characterize and predict the behavior of infrastructure systems.
