I am looking for a research assistant to help with a literature search and review of the efficacy and impact of equitherapy.

Equitherapy includes therapeutic horseback riding, equine-assisted psychotherapy, equine-assisted learning, and hippotherapy (which includes occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy). For this project, you will learn how to conduct a scholarly literature search, review research articles, and summarize your findings. This work will help support grant proposals to conduct new research on equitherapy. I would be happy to help you submit a UCARE proposal to fund your work or to arrange for academic credit. This project would likely be of interest to education majors, particularly special education, as well as psychology, sociology, communication studies, and social work majors. Pre-med (especially OT or PT) majors might also be interested in this line of work.
