This position requires a student with knowledge of materials and chemical science relevant to polymeric materials and interfaces. The student will work on a multidisciplinary project and will lead the material processing and characterization of the synthesized polymers. The objective is to understand how organometallic polymers, specifically polysiloxanes, interact with bacteria and how this process can be utilized for underwater antibacterial effect.
