The research assistant will find historical articles in American newspapers, journals, and magazines that address key events and moments surrounding the "African Question" from 1847-1919. They include: the Independence of Liberia, the Brussels Geographic Conference of 1876, the Berlin Conference of 1884, the Brussels Conference of 1890, the Congo Controversy, and the Versailles Conference of 1919.
